The Worshipful Master is one of three elected officers in a Lodge, it is an office that is the highest honour that a Lodge can bestow on any of its members. The entire membership of the Lodge is entitled to vote on who will be the Worshipful Master of a Lodge. He is elected to hold office for a term of one year, but can serve more than one year if so elected. It is unusual in the Septem Lodge, for a Master to serve more than one year at a time but it does happen for different reasons, a Worshipful Master can serve in the Office more than once in different time periods, in fact there is a member who has served in the office 3 times. The Masters duties are to rule and direct his Lodge, to enforce obedience to the rules and regulations of the Institution, it is a heavy responsibility that he carries but, the immense pleasure derived from the Office can not be easily described.
