W.Bro ‘Phil’ Ribton was initiated in to the Septem Lodge on the 9th March 1991, he was passed to the 2nd Degree on the 14th September 1991 and raised to the 3rd Degree on the 11th January 1992.

W.Bro Phil began his Masonic journey through the progressive offices of the Lodge becoming Tyler 1994, progressing through the Offices until he became Master of the Lodge in 2000. He is one of the few who served for a second consecutive year in 2001.

He became the Secretary of the Lodge in 2004 and served in this office until 2010. He also served as the Lodge Mentor from 2009 until 2014. He was appointed to the post of PPrSGD in 2008 and was further promoted to PPrDepGSwdB in 2014. 

Shortly after this with his failing health and the failing health of his dear wife Adrienne, they decided to move to Devon to be closer to family who could provide help and support on a regular basis, he did however not give up his Lodge membership and continued to visit Dover as often as he could and was in regular telephone contact with the Lodge Secretary. Sadly W.Bro Phil passed to the Grand Lodge above on the 16th February 2018.
