W.Bro ‘Mike’ Prout was initiated into the Septem Lodge on the 13th September 1969, he was passed to the 2nd Degree on the 10th January 1970 and raised to the 3rd Degree on the 14th March 1970.

He progressed through the offices of the Septem Lodge and became Master in 1979.

He was appointed to Provincial Rank of PPrAGDC in 1987, promoted to PPrDepGReg in 1993. In 1999 he was promoted to the rank of PPrGSwdB and was further honoured in 2005 by being promoted to PPrGReg.

He was appointed to the post of Director of Ceremonies of Septem in 1993 but was asked to take on the Treasurers role for the Lodge in 1994 where he remained until ill health forced his retirement from that role in 2011 serving the Lodge for 17 years continually as the Treasurer.

Sadly W.Bro Mike passed to the Grand Lodge above on the 1st July 2013.
