Like the Worshipful Master, the Treasurer has to be elected by the Brethren of the Lodge on an annual basis. His duty is to receive all fees, dues etc. and to pay from the Lodge all current expenses and any sums that may be voted by the brethren, for the purposes of Charity. He is also responsible for fairly recording the accounts and to make those accounts available for all members to know how their subscriptions have been applied and how the balance stands.
