Keith Edward Taylor age 74. Married to Carol for over 50 years. 2 children Philip and Linda. 2 grandchildren from Linda, Ashley and Zac. Philip has no children we know about.

My Interests apart from Freemasonry include the Royal British Legion that although no service connections have been a member since the early 80’s. I served on the Branch committee and was Poppy Appeal Organiser for 12 years. I also serve on the Club committee as Secretary, Treasurer and Energy Manager.My other interests include golf, though unfortunately have not been able play for a while, I also watch football and most sports. I serve on a Surrey County Gardening Club as membership secretary. The club was originally a Surrey County Council Staff Club.

My working life was spent in the Gas Industry with 35 years with British Gas. Starting as an apprentice and progressing through several roles to Senior Industrial and Commercial Engineer until redundancy, caused by privatization. Following this I owned my own registered gas business for 15 years. In this period, I also carried out natural gas feasibility studies for Amec Plc (an FT 100 company at the time) in Bulgaria, Rumania and Turkey.

Being a Lewis, Freemasonry has always been with me. I was initiated in Septem Lodge No 5887 in the Province of Surrey in February 1993. I progressed carrying out all office’s to WM in 1999-2000. Several offices were occupied and ended as Treasurer when the Lodge sadly surrendered its warrant in 2015. I was appointed PPrAGDC (Surrey) in June 2006 and promoted to PPrSGD in 2011.

On learning of the close association with Septem 7788 Dover, I first attended an installation meeting in May 1993. Most years installation meetings were attended after this, until being given the honour of becoming an Honorary member in January 2015. Subsequently I became a full member.

I was Exalted into Noel Chapter 2444 of Royal Arch Masons in September 1999 and progressed to MEZ in 2007 and again in 2019 when the Chapter celebrated its centenary. The appointment of Provincial 2nd Assistant Sojourner was conferred in May 2013 and subsequently PPGSB in May 2018
