Bro P Nicholls

Bro Paul Nicholls
I am married with no children.

Bro Paul’s Masonic career started in 2003 when he joined a Lodge in Penge in London. Unfortunately, due to a fall in Membership, my Mother Lodge decided to hand in its warrant and I became an unattached Mason for a while. I originally joined because I was  interested in craft Freemasonry.

After moving to Broadstairs, I was talking to W.Bro Pete Sparrow, who I found out was a Freemason in the Septem Dover Lodge, this re-kindled my interest and so after enquiries were made I became a member of this Lodge on the 14th September 2013. I have held the positions of Tyler, Inner Guard, Junior Deacon, Senior Deacon, Junior Warden and Charity Steward. I am also a member of the Millennium Lodge of Charity in East Kent No:9730 where I have held the offices of Inner Guard, Junior Deacon, Junior Warden and Senior Warden.

I joined the London Electricity Board in 1969 as an appentice electrician, working through my apprenticeship I got my papers 1973 to show I was a fully qualified Electrician. I worked as a breakdown engineer until 1991 when I decided to take a career break and go travelling. I travelled to South Africa, Australia, Samoa, Tonga and New Zealand, to name but a few.
I rejoined the London Electricity Board in 1993 and left in 1996  to take a new job in building facility managment, working in various buildings around London until earlier in 2020 when I decided that retirement was a good option.

In my spare time I enjoy dog walking, especially along the seafront of Broadstairs. My other interests are, photograpy listening to live music, and enjoying the odd glass or two with friends in our local hosteleries, linking this to my dog walking activities.
