Dining Steward

Although not a recognised office within a Lodge, in recent years, it has become the tradition of the Septem Lodge to ask the Immediate Past Master to take on the duty of Dining Steward. His duties are to ensure that all members who wish to dine after our meetings are booked in and a meal provided for Members and the Guests and Visitors.

He organises a Table Plan as well as being responsible for collecting the Dining Fees that are payable before the meal takes place, then to liaise with the Lodge Treasurer to ensure the monies are then paid to the Caterer. The Immediate Past Master carries out this duty until he is no longer in that role, usually he is in the role of Dining Steward for 1 year. He is ably assisted in his role by the Stewards of the Lodge.

The current Dining Steward of the Lodge is W.Bro Chris Tooth, he took up the role in 2019.
